With campaigns starting to heat up, the Taxpayers Association will turn its attention this March to the coming election season. On March 7, El Dorado County Registrar of Voters Bill O’Neill will provide information on how voters can participate in and observe the process, and even run as candidates themselves if they would like. On March 14, consultant Eric Eisnhammer of Dauntless Communications will provide an early look at statewide measures that are likely to appear on the November ballot, including some that would have significant impacts on taxpayers. To close out the month, the Association will hear from El Dorado County Recorder-Clerk Janelle Horne on March 28, who will be seeking her first re-election in June.

The Association will hold its monthly business meeting on March 21. All meetings are held in-person at Denny’s in Placerville (99 Fair Ln) beginning at 7:30 am and are open to the public. Meetings featuring guest speakers are broadcast live and archived on the Association’s Facebook page.
